Why are our sauna in a tent experiences so unique in Lapland?
RARE: Very few companies offer to experience Finnish sauna in a tent. Most do it in a cabin or at a resort.

Finland has about 5,5 millions of inhabitants... and over 3 millions of saunas! You might have pictured a sauna as a hot room in a spa or a hotel. However we must tell you it is much more than that. To experience real sauna in our Nordic country you must do it in nature. At Earth & Sky Adventures we always find the shore of a lake or the bank of a river on the edge of the forest where we can set up our special sauna tent for the day or for the night.
Indeed we offer you two options. If you have a limited time or just want to give a try then we suggest you to book a day session. We leave in the morning so we have enough time to set up the tent and warm it up. For a couple of hours you get to discover the joys of sitting in a hot tent alternating with baths in the refreshing and pristine waters of a lake. After lunch we don't miss the opportunity to go for a hike and explore around while the sauna cools down. We get back to town in the evening.
The second option is to live the adventure during two days. You will surely make unforgettable memories as you look in the window of the sauna tent and see the midnight sun shining the whole night (in Spring and Summer) or get out and realize that the Northern lights are dancing over your head (in Fall). Besides the sauna tent we also complete our bivouac with setting a teepee tent where we can gather and rest. If you're not keen to camp then we can choose to sleep in a wilderness cabin. This option goes from around noon to noon on the following day.

Price includes: the private mode of the tour (= not mixed with other people or groups), local transportation, the gear for the activity (the sauna tent, towels, blankets, reindeer fur, sustainable Kupilka dishware...), firewood, lunch made of mainly organic and/or local food, hot drinks and snacks, pictures, guiding work in English or French, permits and taxes
Price does not include: your round trip home to Lapland, your accommodation before and after the program, your insurance, your souvenirs, alcohol, your clothing adjusted to the sauna activity (swimming suit, sandals, warm clothes after sauna...)

THE EXPERIENCE TO LIVE: It is a full day dedicated to your well-being and your call to adventure! We leave in the morning so we can have enough time to put up the sauna tent and increase the temperature inside. During two or three hours you alternate those moments sitting on the wooden benches by the stove with fresh baths in the lake or the river nearby. In a very natural and quiet environment you have the privilege to rediscover the benefits of swimming in vivifying waters and soaking yourself in the steam released by the hot stones of our little sauna. During that day we also share a meal around the fireplace and explore the surroundings while the sauna is cooling down. The program ends in the beginning of the evening.
