THE EXPERIENCE TO LIVE: That great lake is one of the most spectacular landscapes or even maybe the most spectacular panorama in the whole of Northern Lapland. You won't regret the one-hour drive to reach that narrow forest road that leads to that beautiful white immensity. Far North atmosphere guaranteed! This is an easy itinerary away from the crowds and the beaten paths around Levi or Ylläs. We will use Finnish backcountry skis for that trip (different from the cross)country skis you see on the pictures; wider spatulas and shorter skis) Half way we take lunch in a picturesque log cabin hidden in the forest near the shores of that lake.

A WORD FROM THE GUIDE: This is tiniest, cutest and most hidden wilderness hut that I know in the whole area. It takes a while to get there but nothing compares a skiing trip in the powdery snow through the deep taïga and along the Äkäs Valley
